Shade

Shade is a element of design that artists uses to present contrasts of light and dark. If and object has a shade, it shows us that there is a source of light

Form

Form is an element of design that allows us to make two-dimensional shapes more realistic by making turning them three-dimensional.

Colour

Colour is an element of designs that represents emotions. Artists use certain colours so when people see thir artwork, they have the same feeling. For example, this is the album cover for Metallica's album "St.Anger". Since red represents anger, the band decided to use red for their album colour.

Texture

Texture is an element of design that gives us an idea of what a surface feels like. For example, this picture of sandpaper gives us an idea that it has a rough texture.

Shape

In this picture, there are three triangles that are intertwined. Triangles represent stability and teamwork. This picture represents teamwork through the element of shape.

Line

As you can see, this image uses a single line to create the final product. to finish, they add a thicker line around it to create a frame.

My summer

How did I spend the summer of 2010?

Pretty much did normal teenage stuff... hung out with friends, went shopping, saw some movies, worked at a job that I hate, made new friends, and ofcourse, I partied.

Lol,well it wasn;t as boring as it sounds, made some great memories and got into a little trouble.

One of the highlights of my summer was one day I was at work at two extremely small disasters occured.
  1. Smelly cat lady fainted. One day I had just started my shift at work, and I noticed that there was a fire truck and an ambulance outside of the store. I decided to figure out what was going on. so, I walked to the back of the store and saw smelly cat lady unconcious in a hospital bed. (for those of you wondering, I work at a grocery store, and smelly cat lady is this old woman with an unpleasant odour who comes to the store daily to buy cat food and dog food). It doesn't matter what the weather is like, this person will wear a winter jacket, gloves and everything. I'm assuming that she had heat stroke because we were in the middle of a heatwave.

2. There was an electrical fire. We didnt call 911 because we called them for smelly cat lady only 2 hours before. Yeah... not as interesting as the first incident.

Last major event of the summer was when my friend came to visit from Chicago over labour day weekend and we went to Chuckee Cheese and played games for free.

The remainder of my summer was filled with events of smaller excitement, not worth mentioning. Also, it was filled with other events that I probaly shouldn;t mention in a blog that my teacher has access too.

Lol, summer 2010 was a good one.
